MUKTA A2 CINEMAS introduces Corporate Social Responsibility programs for their Stakeholders

~ 15% of the combo meals sales to be donated to SOS Foundation~

11th February, 2015: Mukta Arts Limited has been giving its audiences the best of on-screen entertainment since decades. The production house has taken the entertainment quotient one step further with its own brand of multiplex theatres MUKTA A2 CINEMAS with state-of-the-art technology, which is spread across 10 properties and 28 screens in India today. The multiplex chain has now introduced Corporate Social Responsibility programs to allocate a small amount of budget for their stakeholders. The first initiative was in association with the recently released drama film, Shamitabh which is also in integration with the F&B service of the company.

MUKTA A2 CINEMAS had organized a special screening of the film for 100 kids from the NGO, Sounds of Silence (SOS) Foundation at Jai Hind Cinema on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. On the day of the event, Mr. Rahul Puri, Managing Director, Mukta Arts ltd also donated a substantial proportion of the proceeds to the NGO that the company had received from the sales of the special Combo meals created for the film, Shamitabh.

The proceedings were handed over to Sumit Singh Gandhi, Founder and the Anisha Mukhija, Co-Founder of SOS Foundation. The NGO works for kids who are mute and have a hearing disability and provides them with jobs in the corporate world. Also present at the event were Satwik Lele — COO of Mukta A2 Cinemas, Sachidananad Shetty — Vice President of Mukta A2 Cinemas.

Speaking on the importance of CSR, Mr. Rahul Puri, Managing Director, Mukta Arts ltd said, “It is a pleasure to be associated with the movie Shamitabh for special Combo Meals. We, at Mukta A2 Cinemas, believe it is our responsibility to give back to our stakeholders, their families and the community. Therefore, we have decided to introduce CSR programs going forward and the first initiative would be to give 15% proceedings of the Combo meal sales to Sounds of Silence Foundation. It was great to see the kids happy, watching the movie and enjoying the special combo meals.”

The event was specially designed keeping in mind the SOS Foundation kids. They were really delighted to watch the movie Shamibath and were very excited to find their favourite super star on the glasses. MUKTA A2 CINEMAS will continue to initiate more such programs for the society.
