'I am extremely grieved on the sad demise of Samir Chanda - one of the most creative art directors who did two films with me... Kisna and Black & White. He was an innovative artist who brought the real world out of a fictional story on screen. A great humble and smiling, giving man who used to teach and support our cinema students at Whistling Woods Film and Television Institute. We had a special attachment as cinema men and he was a man of details, bringing life to a set and location beyond the director's imagination.
