Continuing their foray into regional films, Mukta Arts Ltd has begun the production of their first Kannada film titled 'Nimbe Huli' (Sweet and Sour). Directed by Hemanth Hegde, the film stars Komal Jha, Madhurima, Anupam Kher, Rangarayana Raghu, and Hemanth Hegde himself. Music is by Veer Samarth, Sandeep Kumar is the Director of Photography, and Editing is by P R Soundar Raj. Shooting for the film is currently underway.

Prior to this, Mukta Arts Ltd has also produced two Marathi films – Valu, directed by Umesh Kulkarni and Sanai Chaughade directed by Rajeev Patil. Both films released in 2008. Valu was Mukta Arts' first foray into regional films and was a big hit at the Box Office apart from getting wide critical acclaim. It was also Umesh Kulkarni's first film.
