Subhash Ghai, we hear, has already bagged a Rs 17 crore deal with a television channel by selling the satellite rights of his forthcoming platter of five films scheduled to hit the screens in 2006-2007. The movies that fall under this agreement are Shaadi Se Pehle directed by Satish Kaushik, the Abbas-Mustan directed 36 China Town, Sangeeth Sivan’s Apna Sapna Money Money, Ashwini Chowdhury’s Good Boy Bad Boy and Nagesh Kukunoor’s Rain. Showman Ghai informs us, “This is the first time that a production company has sold the satellite rights of their films prior to their theatrical release, i.e. while they’re still under production.” |
