‘Indian Cinema- Bollywood Snapshots’ is a unique programme launched by Whistling Woods International (WWI), Asia’s largest Film, Television, Animation and Media Arts Institute, Mumbai
 to expose  International students to Indian Cinema .Students from the Leeds Metropolitan University, UK are currently attending this 4 weeks  practical course.
The programme objectives focus on the cultural context, styles and characteristics of Indian cinema and film production particularly in Bollywood, Mumbai. During this course, Leeds University students will get an insight into historical and cultural contexts of both commercial and parallel Indian cinema, through 16 hours of lectures and screenings. The programme will expose students to film production, further their practical skills and develop their knowledge of crew roles in a different cultural environment.
In order to familiarize students with equipment and techniques, the course has about 60 hours of lectures in Direction, Production, Editing and Cinematography. Students will interact and work with industry professionals while successfully completing projects on Z1P cameras and also gain experience in writing, producing and editing a short film.   Expressing his excitement on the launch of the programme, Mr. John Lee Jr., Dean WWI said, “There is a great deal of interest in Indian cinema internationally. We believe that a course like Indian Cinema- Bollywood Snapshots gives students a realistic experience of the industry and gives WWI an opportunity to represent Indian Cinema globally. It’s heartening to know that now we have12 % foreign students at Whistling Woods attending the two year regular courses”
