When the Cannes Film Festival attracts student films from
Whistling Woods International

It exhibits the quality of education at Whistling Woods International (WWI) when we observe that Subhash Ghai will introduce nine student films to the media at the Short Film Corner at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival - the most glamorous film festival in the world, this year. The festival will be held from May 13th to May 24th, 2009. The WWI student films will be showcased along with hundreds of films from across the world during the 12 day festival.
Meghna Ghai Puri, President - WWI couldn’t contain her pride while saying; ‘‘our students are thrilled. Having our student films being screened at Cannes is a huge exposure and motivation for the students. At Whistling Woods International we have consciously looked at imparting world class education in line with current industry trends .This recognition is a result of our sincerity towards achieving this goal. The students have spared no efforts in partaking of this training. I look forward to people’s reaction to our student films which will be showcased at the festival’’. This comes as no surprise to foreign students who study at WWI. Alexis Forni, a Producing student says, “I am extremely proud to be a Whistling Woods student. I think this is an amazing school and that it is world class. I attended two of the top film schools in LA (CalArts and CSUN) and the faculty and curriculum at Whistling Woods International are on par, if not better, with these schools.
