Subhash Ghai, Founder Chairman of Whistling Woods International has had to cancel his trip to IIFA Awards, Macau where he was to announce WWI scholarships sponsored by Mukta Arts Limited, for deserving students. Mr. Ghai has decided to devote all his time concentrating on carving out bigger success stories of his graduating students by launching a platform for them to showcase their talent to a wider audience.
There is a growing demand for trained artists and technicians from WWI in leading corporates in the film, media and entertainment business. And even though graduating students of WWI from every discipline have received an overwhelming response from the Industry, Mr. Ghai wants to provide the students with an additional global platform.
“In order to provide better opportunities to students in the coming years, we have proactively launched Studio Point 1 Multimedia, a new content production unit of Mukta Arts Ltd. where WWI graduates can be employed in the coming years, apart from other leading production and media houses in India.” said Subhash Ghai
80% of the students passing out of WWI have been placed which proves that the institute has set new benchmarks in providing quality education to students. Whistling Woods International has privilege placement partnerships with several leading media organisations like Adlabs, Arab Media Group (UAE), , Channel [V], Percept Picture Company, Pixion, Prime Focus, Sony Entertainment Television, William Morris Agency (USA), Zee TV, Mirchi Movies, Paprikaas, SIC, Endemol, Dharma Productions to name a few.
Shreya Sheth, student of Direction at WWI recently signed a contract with the makers of Hannah Montana as a writer for their new sitcom.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. John Lee, Dean-WWI said, ‘‘I am extremely happy with the launch of Studio.1- Multimedia where our graduating students will be employed to produce and create quality content for cinema.”
