on its 3rd convocation day while he regaled the audience and students by his charm , energy and evergreen passion and thanked WWI for the honour by getting Maestro award . maestro of indian cinema' instituted by students , faculty and management of whistlingwoods international ltd .Another award was given to music composer pyarelal of luxmikant pyarelal for maintaining excellence of his work for 40 years in indian film music . Pyare lal talked about his association with late luxmikant and film makers like raj kapoor ad subhash ghai .
WWI has instituted this award for those living legends who has attained excellence in cinema for more than three decades and became inspiration for younger generation for all time . the selection committee for this honour comes from students ,the faculty and management of Wwi who chooses only two living legends for the year in two categories of an artiste and a technician as well ,
Last year this honour was bestowed upon Dilip kumar and v k murthy , cineamogrphers for 50 to 80's , the cameraman of all Gurudutt films and many top directors .
During convocation guest of honour lord bhikhu parikhe from UK and kanwar Rekhi form USA , subhash ghai gave away the diplomas to young graduates bubbling with excitement and passion all over and appreciated their diploma films shown to them on the occasion .
WWI Dean John lee and president meghna ghai puri thanked the guests of honour and spoke about the achievements of WWi as a sucess story for the last three years. |
