Ultra Group & Mukta Arts launch DVD of the Award winning movie Iqbal in association with CRY

Mumbai, February 09, 2006: Ultra Distributors Pvt. Ltd. & Mukta Arts Ltd., today launched the DVD of the much acclaimed movie Iqbal, which has received many accolades and won the hearts of millions across the nation.

The film’s star cast Shreyas Talpade & Shweta Prasad and the showman, Subhash Ghai, himself graced the occasion and registered their support for the association with CRY, while unveiling the DVD of Iqbal at CCI, Mumbai.

Iqbal is a remarkable story about a child’s ambition, dream and his effort to achieve his goal leading to a better future. “As CRY has similar mission, it gives us a sense of sharing to be able to associate with them and aid their noble cause” said Mr. Sushilkumar Agrawal, Managing Director, Ultra Group.

Subhash Ghai, producer of the movie said, “My movie Iqbal is very special to me as it’s a simple story touching the hearts of people. I’m sure the movie was able to inspire the youngsters of our country. Ultra has created a wonderful platform for the launch by joining hands with CRY and ensuring the rights of all children.”

Iqbal was released in theatres across India on August 26, 2005 under a new banner Mukta Searchlight Films- a banner set up to promote multiplex films & give new and up-coming film makers a platform to showcase their talent. The movie has won five screen awards, two Stardust awards & two Kara international film festival awards (Karachi), acclaimed by the film industry and film critics. 'Iqbal' is a movie about bravery and the willingness to follow your dream in the face of adversity. The enchanting film is set against the backdrop of the national obsession Cricket and was written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
