Synopsis

When love blossoms under terror… A store of two great friends played by two legends of Indian Cinema , Dilip Kumar and Raj Kumar who loved to hate each other… SAUDAGAR’ is a story about two merchants whose friendship goes sour and their enmity becomes a foreteller of doom and destruction in their respective villages for two generations to come. In the backdrop of Himalayas of Northern India, Bir Singh and Rajeshwer Singh were known to be the greatest friends of their time till they got involved in petty family and individual interests, which made them arch rival merchants. Vasu (Vivek Mushran) and Rasha (Manisha Koirala) love each other passionately but are unaware of their grandfathers’ deep-rooted enmity. Love did blossom under shadow of terror but it had to weather the storms of their union. Should they run away? Should they commit suicide? Should they try to unite they grandfathers? A brilliant Cinematic play on a vast canvas by SUBHASH GHAI in all its splendour of human emotions woven with power packed performances by all the characters in the film. That’s ‘SAUDAGAR’.
