Ravi Gupta - CEO, Mukta Arts Ltd. Executive Director of Whistling Woods International.
A post-graduate from IIT Bombay and an MBA from JBI, Ravi Gupta brings with him a wealth of media and corporate experience. He has held board positions in companies in the
UK , USA , Middle East and Africa, and recently moved back from London to head WWI. He was the founding CEO of B4U, founding member of SRFTII, Managing Director of NFDC and has also been on the Governing Board of FTII. He has been closely associated with the production and distribution of over 150 films, including those of directors Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen, Shyam Benegal and Mira Nair. Notably among these are Salaam Bombay, Gandhi, Maya Memsahib, Rudali, Ghare Bhaire, The Making of Mahatma and Rudali. He has represented India on the board of the Paris-based FIAPF and has been on the board of the Los Angeles-based IATAS that awards the iEMMY. His extensive knowledge of film production, distribution and global business and his extensive expertise in the television industry bring significant leadership value to the Whistling Woods International team.
Siraj Farooqui - Head of Production
Siraj Farooqui has wide experience in the field of Media specially Film Production, direction and post production. He joined renowned Film Director, Mr. Subhash Ghai as an assistant director in 1976.
He worked in the capacity of Assistant Director for big hit films like Kalicharan, Vishwanath, Gautam Govinda, Karz, Krodhi, Vidhaata and Meri Jung. Thereafter he switched to production of films and worked as Production Manager for films like Karma, Ram Lakhan, Saudagar etc. During the period he also was instrumental in setting up the Equipment division of the Company, Mukta Arts Pvt. Ltd ( Now a public limited company, Mukta Arts Limited ). The division slowly flourished into a mega post-production studio by the name “Audeus” which was awarded as the Best post production studio. He carefully studied various developments taking place in the field of Cinema and accordingly chose the latest and best equipments for the studio. ‘Audeus’ was considered as one of the best post production studios in Mumbai and was greatly patronized by many top film production banners. Meanwhile, Siraj also handled the production of films as Executive Producer and was associated with films like Pardes, Taal, Yaadein, Aitraaz, Kisna and the latest 36 China Town, each one of which are milestones in Indian Film Industry. Thus Mr. Siraj Farooqui is having rich experience of more than 30 years in various fields in Cinema such as Direction, Production as well as equipment handling. Currently, Mr. Siraj Farooqui is the Head of Department for Productions of Mukta Arts Limited, a leading Film Production Company. He is also advising for the World class Film and Television Training and Research Centre, Whistling Woods International Institute coming up in Mumbai.
